Booking & Cancellation Policy
Cornwall Photo Walks

Booking Policy
Advance Booking Required.
All photo walks must be booked in advance through [your website/booking platform/email]. Spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment to Secure Your Spot.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on the walk. Your space is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Minimum Group Size
Walks require a minimum of 3 participants to run. If the minimum number is not met, you will be offered:

A full refund or voucher.

The option to transfer to a future date.
You will be notified at least [24–48 hours] in advance if a walk needs to be rescheduled due to low numbers.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
​
Participant Cancellations

Cancellations made 6+ days before the walk: Full refund or transfer to another date.

Cancellations made 3–5 days before: 50% refund or transfer (subject to availability).

Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the walk: Non-refundable.
-
No-shows are non-refundable.
You may transfer your booking to another person if you can no longer attend — just notify us in advance with their details.

Weather Policy​
Newquay weather can be unpredictable! Walks will run in light rain or typical coastal conditions — this is part of the experience and can create fantastic photography opportunities.
However, in the case of:

Severe weather warnings.
-
High winds deemed unsafe.
-
Hazardous conditions.
The walk will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
The final decision to cancel due to weather rests with the organiser.

Late Arrivals​
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Walks will begin promptly at the advertised time.
If you arrive late, the group may already be underway and we cannot guarantee you will be able to catch up. Refunds are not available for late arrivals.

Safety & Responsibility​
Participants attend at their own risk. The walk will involve uneven surfaces, coastal paths, and public spaces around Newquay. Under 14's are to be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Participants are responsible for:

Wearing appropriate footwear and clothing.

Bringing suitable photography equipment.

Following safety instructions at all times.
We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, without refund.

Photography & Media​
During the walk, photos may be taken for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in any images, please inform us at the start of the session.

Refund Policy​
Refunds will only be issued in accordance with the cancellation terms above. Once a walk has taken place, no refunds will be given.

Liability Disclaimer

By booking and attending a Photo Walk in Newquay, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk
Participation in the photo walk involves inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, coastal paths, changing weather conditions, and interactions with the public. By attending, you accept full responsibility for your own safety and wellbeing.

Personal Responsibility
You agree to:

Follow all safety guidance provided during the walk

Take reasonable care when navigating public and coastal areas

Ensure you are physically able to participate in a walking tour environment

Limitation of Liability
Walk Shoot Chat and its organiser(s) will not be held liable for:

Any injuries, accidents, or loss sustained during the walk

Damage, loss, or theft of personal belongings or photography equipment

Delays or disruptions caused by factors outside our control (e.g. weather, public events, road closures)

Third-Party Environment
All walks take place in public spaces not owned or controlled by Walk Shoot Chat. We cannot guarantee conditions of paths, access, or behaviour of third parties.

Insurance
Participants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate personal insurance if required (e.g. travel or equipment insurance).
